Rev. Kenn Francart This is a response to a message that I received stating that the unpardonable sin is not possible since Jesus ascended back to heaven. I have to disagree with the pastor on this one. And I am finding more and more that pastors and laity are ignoring John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (KJV). The unpardonable sin is the sin of refusing the call of God, the call of the Holy Spirit, the quenching of His Love (1Thes 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.), and grieving the Holy Spirit (Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.) (KJV) Of the two that were on the cross alongside Jesus, one (even on his death bed) refused the call of God, and blasphemed Jesus. (Luke 23:39) I’d call that grieving and quenching the Holy Spirit. Wouldn’t you? I read a message that I had received where Thom Rainer said: "… Quite frankly, it's hard to do evangelism unless one holds to the exclusivity of salvation through Christ." I compare the absence of Jesus’ Ministry in our messages, to leaving God out of our daily activities, schools, Pledge of Allegiance, and courts. It is the pastor’s responsibility to preach Christ’s total ministry. The call from God comes primarily from the pulpit, with the Holy Spirit working in the hearts and minds of those in the pews. It is possible to commit the unpardonable sin, today. It is done in the hearts of the non-Christians and from the pulpit when Jesus is excluded from our being. It is done when someone is left out and the message is not heard. It is done when the message is rejected. Worst of all, it is done when the message is not preached, told, or offered by a friend. Again a quote from Thom Rainer’s book, "Christians refer to Matthew 28:18-20 as the Great Commission not the Good Commission." We must all be involved in overcoming the unpardonable sin by spreading God Love and Word across the width and breadth of this world. In Christian Love, Kenn

Jesus is standing at the door to your heart
all the time. He is knocking to come in and love you and guide you. He is
offering you the gift of everlasting life, but you must hear Him and open
the door to Him as He will not kick it in.
(Rev. 3:20) A gift is just outside your
heart's door at this time. Will you receive this gift? Will you open the
door to Jesus and let him flood your soul with His love? If so, read the
following paragraph as your prayer.

Father, I know that I have sinned and I turn from those ways and ask you to come into my heart and cleanse me. I know that I cannot do this on my own and I need your help. Fill my soul, Lord, and make me whole. I want your will for my life to be preeminent. Help me to grow in your way. I pray this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen
