Temple Talk

I know that my Redeemer lives
    Within my very being.
He brings new living truth which gives
    New joy, purpose, and meaning.

All the old paths, I still can trod,
They no longer hold the peace.
Far more, there's meadows of new sod
    Wherein is sweet release.

It's not because of hell-fire sure,
    But through His love ordained.
That drew me toward the only cure
For my soul, so guilty stained.

I love Him not for my soul saved,
But that He loved me first.
The milk in me a new life made.
My Lord, and yet I thirst!

The milk then grew to bread and meat
    And opened deeper meanings.
Tore wide the veil of the mercy seat,
    Uncovered hidden gleenings.

Oh Lord, that I may touch the truth,
That I may seek thy grace,
That I may help inspire youth
    To recognize Thy face.
