- Jack London What is your legacy? In other words, how will others remember you once you have walked your last step and taken your final breath? Will your children recall a loving and involved parent or one who always seemed too immersed in work to be bothered? What about your spouse? Will your time together be remembered warmly or will bitter thoughts of constant conflict take precedence? How about friends, relations, and associates? Will they hold fond memories of an individual with great character or will some other not-so-desirable trait be recalled? How many of us are doing, exactly, what the last line of Jack London's credo states and merely "existing" rather than "LIVING?" Our heavenly Father did not give us five senses so we may let them stagnate. While we are not to let our flesh and senses dominate our life, there is no harm in using and enjoying what our Creator graciously gave us to use for our enjoyment and pleasure, within the bounds of His Word. Indeed, by using our senses and ability to love, we may be better stewards of His word! You see, it is in seeing the beauty in the small, unassuming things that one can fully appreciate the bigger picture! Open your eyes and see all He created! Breathe in the aroma of all His diverse flora! Appreciate the sound of a young child's innocent laughter and take refuge in the warm embrace of someone who cares! Lastly, look heaven-ward, not only at the clouds and stars, but towards the radiant light of our Father, God.

Jesus is standing at the door to your heart
all the time. He is knocking to come in and love you and guide you. He is
offering you the gift of everlasting life, but you must hear Him and open
the door to Him as He will not kick it in.
(Rev. 3:20)
A gift is just outside your heart's door at this time. Will you receive this
gift? Will you open the door to Jesus and let him flood your soul with His
love? If so, read the following paragraph as your prayer.

Father, I know that I have sinned and I turn from those ways and ask you to come into my heart and cleanse me. I know that I cannot do this on my own and I need your help. Fill my soul, Lord, and make me whole. I want your will for my life to be preeminent. Help me to grow in your way. Amen
