How Do I Receive Salvation

1     Understand that God's heart is for YOU and that He paid a terrible price for your redemption. ====>
     John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."   Put your name in place of the word "whosoever" because that does mean you, my friend.

2     The reason God gave His Son was because NO MAN was worthy to be the payment for the sins of the people of the world. To find out why we are unworthy click here and read Isaiah 64:6. There is no reason to doubt that we are sinners Romans 3:23 declares, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

3     In Genesis 1:26 God said, "Let us make man in our image..." He was looking to have fellowship with man. Now man decided to do it "My Way" and the fellowship was broken. The resulting experience is death. Romans 6:23 is so clear on this it hurts. "For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Because there is no way for man to close the gap in the fellowship with our creator, God had to accomplish this for us. Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

4      It isn't enough to know how we got into this predicament, now, how do we get out of it? Jesus said, John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." OK! So Jesus is the way, how do I experience this life? We must EACH receive Jesus as our Saviour and Lord. John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:" Ephesians 2:8,9 (8) "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: (9) Not of works, lest any man should boast."

5      Jesus wants to be your personal Saviour. In fact, Revelations 3:20 records Jesus saying, "3;20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." This isn't just a one-time opportunity, He's standing there right now. Your opportunity is now and if you are still here tomorrow He is still there. Just remember you may not be.

     You can receive Jesus simply by earmestly repeating the following suggested prayer.
    Jesus, with all you have done for me, I can't think of a nicer thing than to have you leading me into a full Christian life. I turn from my way to your way and ask you to take over and help me to be the person you want me to be. Thank you for loving me so much. Amen"
