Microthought #1
Have you
ever considered daylight to be energy? We may be wrong in this assumption, and
we won't take the time to research it, but almost every living thing requires
daylight in some way in order to live. A person may live in darkness, but
requires food produced in daylight to stay alive. Now if this is not correct,
don't fret for this is not our point.
The
point is that daylight not only gives energy, but it makes work possible. The
Master said in John 9:4;
"I
must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh,
when no man can work."
Jesus
said it perfectly. Shouldn't we also work the works of Him who called us while
we can? How much longer will the practice of Christianity be permitted in the
world? How much longer will the powers that be allow the name of Jesus to be
spoken aloud for others to hear?
Many are
excited over the opportunities that have just opened up in Russia, and other
countries to preach the gospel. Of course, we should all be excited about this.
That's
the point. The opportunities are all around us to do the will of God and tell
others about Christ and our Father's plan.
Jesus
implied daylight would end and a night would come when no man can work. It may
be that before this decade ends, Christians will have to worship in secret; in
privacy; and public witnessing will be a thing of the past...gone forever in
this age.
Brethren,
let us diligently work while it is yet day. "The night cometh when no man
can work." In short, DON'T BURN (waste) DAYLIGHT!
